Headrest for Taller Sitters

The headrest raises the Medium from 42.9 to 45.7 inches and the Large from 44.5 to 47.2, so you can set the support where your head rests.

Lean back and the Glide system reclines the chair with no levers, while the Plus system adjusts head and lumbar support to match.

Signature Base That Rocks

BalanceAdapt in the base adds a gentle rocking motion. The base is wood with a metal ring in matte black or polished aluminum, and it swivels 360 degrees.

Medium or Large

Both sizes have a 17.3 inch seat height; the Medium is 32.3 inches wide and the Large 35.8. We list Paloma and Cori leathers.

Product Description

Stressless Paul is a recliner with a height-adjustable headrest, on the Signature base. The Glide system reclines it with your body weight, the Plus system adjusts head and lumbar support as you lean back, and BalanceAdapt in the base adds a gentle rocking motion. The chair swivels 360 degrees.

We list Paul in Medium and Large, both with a 17.3 inch seat height. The headrest takes the Medium from 42.9 to 45.7 inches tall and the Large from 44.5 to 47.2, which suits a taller sitter. We list three Paloma leathers (Light Grey, Mushroom and Oxford Blue) and Cori Mole, with eight wood finishes. Paul is made in Norway.

Stressless also makes Paul in Batick, Velaro and Noblesse leathers and in fabric; ask us if you'd like one of those.

    Dust weekly with a dry cloth. Clean the leather with the Stressless care kit at least every six months and reapply the protection cream after cleaning. Blot spills right away. No household cleaners, solvents or steam. Keep it a foot from heat sources and out of direct sun.

Limited Warranty

Stressless warranty

Ekornes, the maker of Stressless, warrants this recliner from the date of purchase:

  • 10 years on the internal mechanism: the Plus™ system and the metal frame, including the springs and glide system
  • 5 years on the base and foam: the chair and ottoman base (swivel ring, gas lift and extensions) and all foam and padding
  • 5 years on the motor and electrical parts of power recliners
  • 2 years on optional batteries
  • 1 year on the leather or fabric upholstery, including stitching and zippers, when it has been cared for following Ekornes guidelines

Some softening and indentation of the padding is normal break-in. The warranty covers the original buyer. Ekornes supplies replacement parts and pays their shipping; it does not cover other repair costs.

Not covered: fading, or roughness from heat or sunlight; damage from spills, body fluids or pets; damage from skipped care or from cleaners Ekornes doesn't recommend; and damage from moving, alteration, misuse or unauthorized repair.
