The Rustico Moderno collection gives rustic a modern facelift, playing on the Rustico collection's old world charm while imparting a fresh contemporary look. Rustico Moderno pieces feature the classic elements of Tuscan furniture design, but with contemporary lines and modern two-tone rustic finishes. This collection showcases a new brushed finish technique, which was inspired by the natural drift process resulting from years of use. The brushed finishing process, called ‘decape’, opens the pores of the oak wood allowing a white patina to accumulate in the wood grooves, imparting a mild weathered look. This unisex collection is accented by an open mortise and tenon detail. This solid oak collection has a refined simplicity with a modern twist, evoking a winter scene of an owl perched against the snowy landscape.

Brothers Antonio and Michel De Bonis founded Natart in 1988 in Rome, Italy and then transferred to Quebec, Canada in 1995. Today their family-run business includes 40 employees who are considered part of the family. The De Bonis brothers lead with a positive vision and provide their unified team with a sense of purpose. Natart employees are treated with respect and are not subject to pressure. Working with peace of mind, the calm and reassuring atmosphere allows the company to produce great quality in a safe and secure work space. Natart gleans inspiration from international venues, architecture and fashion trends, striving to marry functionality with aesthetics. All designs are executed in-house by Michel De Bonis.
