Kingsley Bate Classic Collection

The Kingsley Bate Classic Collection features designs sharing a common theme: well-designed traditional furniture with touches of American Craftsman style. All collection pieces are constructed from solid teak for exceptional quality, with the dining chairs incorporating a scooped seat for optimal comfort. The chaise has four backrest positions, a knee bend section for leg support and comfort, plus integrated wheels for easy maneuverability. Available with optional drinks tray and arms attachments. Designed specifically for the chaise, the optional chaise arms pivot up to facilitate getting in and out of the chaise and install in minutes.

The Classic coffee table sports mitred corners and mortise and tenon joinery. This attractive table comes in two sizes: a 38" long and the slightly longer 45" version to flatter any space. Alternatively, the Classic square coffee table makes a great conversation table, large enough to accommodate lounge chairs, settees or sofas. A 2" umbrella hole and plug accommodates a 10' umbrella.

The Classic side table is distinguished by clean lines and simplicity of form. Made with attractive mitred corners, this versatile table perfectly accents any outdoor setting. The 20" high side table may be used in conjunction with seating groups, or on its own as a plant stand. The 15" high side table fits well with many chaises and club chairs. Indiscriminate deforestation of the Amazon Basin and other rainforests has prompted criticism of those companies in the teak industry. Kingsley Bate is the first American company to use Javanese teak in the manufacture of its furniture. All teak is harvested from carefully controlled plantations: the Indonesian government allows the felling of a limited number of trees each year, and ensures that an equal amount of reforestation takes place. In 1983 Kingsley Bate, in conjunction with the Indonesian government and its people, undertook to develop a teak furniture program in Java. Since then, Indonesia and Kingsley Bate have shown that such a program can be implemented without detriment to that country's natural resources.
