Reclines as You Lean Back

The Glide system follows your body weight, so the chair reclines without levers. A wheel on each side sets how easily it moves.

Head and Back Supported

As you recline, the Plus system brings the headrest forward and keeps your lower back supported, so you can still read or watch TV.

Three Sizes

Small, Medium and Large run from 29.5 to 34.6 inches wide, with seat heights from 16.1 to 17.7 inches.

Made in Norway

Stressless builds Mayfair in Norway. We list 16 leather colours (11 Paloma, 3 Cori, 2 Velaro) and eight wood colours for the base.

Product Description

The Stressless Mayfair on the Classic base reclines as you lean back. The Glide system follows your body weight with no levers, the Plus system keeps your head and lower back supported, and the wood base swivels a full 360 degrees.

Choose Small, Medium or Large; the Medium is 31.1 inches wide and 39.8 inches tall, with a 16.5 inch seat height. We list 16 leather colours: Paloma is the thinner leather, 0.9 to 1.1 mm with a natural grain, while Cori and Velaro are 1.2 to 1.4 mm. Mayfair is made in Norway. Stressless also makes it in Batick and Noblesse leather and in fabric, and an elevator ring raises the chair and ottoman on the Classic base for a higher seat. Ask us about either.

If you'd like a gentle rocking motion as well, the Mayfair on the Signature base adds BalanceAdapt.

    Dust weekly with a dry cloth. Clean the leather with the Stressless care kit at least every six months and reapply the protection cream after cleaning. Blot spills right away. No household cleaners, solvents or steam. Keep it a foot from heat sources and out of direct sun.

Limited Warranty

Stressless warranty

Ekornes, the maker of Stressless, warrants this recliner from the date of purchase:

  • 10 years on the internal mechanism: the Plus™ system and the metal frame, including the springs and glide system
  • 5 years on the base and foam: the chair and ottoman base (swivel ring, gas lift and extensions) and all foam and padding
  • 5 years on the motor and electrical parts of power recliners
  • 2 years on optional batteries
  • 1 year on the leather or fabric upholstery, including stitching and zippers, when it has been cared for following Ekornes guidelines

Some softening and indentation of the padding is normal break-in. The warranty covers the original buyer. Ekornes supplies replacement parts and pays their shipping; it does not cover other repair costs.

Not covered: fading, or roughness from heat or sunlight; damage from spills, body fluids or pets; damage from skipped care or from cleaners Ekornes doesn't recommend; and damage from moving, alteration, misuse or unauthorized repair.
