Power Back and Footrest

A control under the armrest reclines the back and raises the footrest by motor. The footrest is built into the chair.

Head and Back Supported

The Plus system adjusts the head and lumbar support as the back goes down, so your neck and lower back stay supported.

Room to Recline

Upright the Medium is 30.2 inches deep, and fully reclined it needs 51.3 inches. The Large goes from 30.0 to 51.5 inches.

Made in Norway

Stressless builds Mayfair in Norway. We list it in Paloma Chocolate, Sand, Oxford Blue or Shadow Green, on a brown, wenge or walnut base.

Product Description

The Stressless Mayfair on the Classic Power base reclines by motor. A control under the armrest moves the back and raises the footrest, which is built into the chair, and the Plus system adjusts the head and lumbar support as it goes.

It comes in Medium and Large. The Medium is 31.1 inches wide with an 18.1 inch seat height and reaches 51.3 inches deep fully reclined. We list four Paloma leathers on a brown, wenge or walnut base, and Mayfair is made in Norway. Stressless also makes a rechargeable battery pack for this base, so the chair needn't sit by an outlet, and makes Mayfair in other leathers and fabric. Ask us about either.

If you'd rather recline with your own body weight and swivel, the Mayfair on the Classic base does both.

    Dust weekly with a dry cloth. Clean the leather with the Stressless care kit at least every six months and reapply the protection cream after cleaning. Blot spills right away. No household cleaners, solvents or steam. Keep it a foot from heat sources and out of direct sun.

Limited Warranty

Stressless warranty

Ekornes, the maker of Stressless, warrants this recliner from the date of purchase:

  • 10 years on the internal mechanism: the Plus™ system and the metal frame, including the springs and glide system
  • 5 years on the base and foam: the chair and ottoman base (swivel ring, gas lift and extensions) and all foam and padding
  • 5 years on the motor and electrical parts of power recliners
  • 2 years on optional batteries
  • 1 year on the leather or fabric upholstery, including stitching and zippers, when it has been cared for following Ekornes guidelines

Some softening and indentation of the padding is normal break-in. The warranty covers the original buyer. Ekornes supplies replacement parts and pays their shipping; it does not cover other repair costs.

Not covered: fading, or roughness from heat or sunlight; damage from spills, body fluids or pets; damage from skipped care or from cleaners Ekornes doesn't recommend; and damage from moving, alteration, misuse or unauthorized repair.
