BalanceAdapt gives the Signature base a gentle rocking motion, alongside a Glide recline that responds to your body weight.

Plus System Support

Lean back and the headrest comes forward while your lower back stays supported, so you can still read, watch TV or talk.

Wood and Metal Base

Choose from eight Stressless wood colours, set with a metal ring in matte black or polished aluminum. The base swivels 360 degrees.

Eight Paloma Colours

We list Sunrise in eight Paloma leathers, including Breezy Blue, Copper and Dark Olive. Paloma is dyed through and shows its natural grain.

Product Description

Stressless Sunrise on the Signature base is a recliner that rocks as well as reclines. BalanceAdapt adds a gentle rocking motion in the base, the Glide system follows your body weight with no levers, and the Plus system keeps your head and lower back supported. It swivels a full 360 degrees.

Sunrise comes in Small, Medium and Large; the Medium is 32.7 inches wide and 41.3 inches tall, with a 17.3 inch seat height. We list eight Paloma colours, with the base in eight wood colours. Sunrise is made in Norway. Stressless also makes it in Batick, Velaro and Noblesse leather and in fabric, and an elevator kit raises the chair and ottoman on the Signature base. Ask us about either.

The Sunrise on the Classic base has the same Glide recline and swivel without the rocking motion.

This recliner is part of the Stressless Sunrise collection, which includes matching Classic Recliner and Classic Power Recliner.

    Dust weekly with a dry cloth. Clean the leather with the Stressless care kit at least every six months and reapply the protection cream after cleaning. Blot spills right away. No household cleaners, solvents or steam. Keep it a foot from heat sources and out of direct sun.

Limited Warranty

Stressless warranty

Ekornes, the maker of Stressless, warrants this recliner from the date of purchase:

  • 10 years on the internal mechanism: the Plus™ system and the metal frame, including the springs and glide system
  • 5 years on the base and foam: the chair and ottoman base (swivel ring, gas lift and extensions) and all foam and padding
  • 5 years on the motor and electrical parts of power recliners
  • 2 years on optional batteries
  • 1 year on the leather or fabric upholstery, including stitching and zippers, when it has been cared for following Ekornes guidelines

Some softening and indentation of the padding is normal break-in. The warranty covers the original buyer. Ekornes supplies replacement parts and pays their shipping; it does not cover other repair costs.

Not covered: fading, or roughness from heat or sunlight; damage from spills, body fluids or pets; damage from skipped care or from cleaners Ekornes doesn't recommend; and damage from moving, alteration, misuse or unauthorized repair.
